ABOUT ME
Neil Wilkinson is founder and Director of Coda Building Consultancy Limited, Birmingham. Neil has worked in the commercial property sector since graduating in 1996 and became a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1999. Neil has worked for DTZ, GVA Grimley, Malcolm Hollis and finally 6 years at Cushman & Wakefield LLP before establishing Coda.
Neil has over fifteen years post qualification experience and specialises in contract administration, employers agent and project management in the industrial and out of town retail sectors delivering new build or refurbished Cat A accommodation on behalf of landlord’s. Working in conjunction with a dedicated team of specialist consultants Coda can provide a complete project delivery service from conception to completion including planning, architecture, cost consultancy, structural engineering, mechanical and electrical, environmental and geotechnical assessments, EPC’s, measured and topographical surveys and procurement of new or upgraded utility supplies.
Coda has recently delivered retail space for major UK occupiers including Marks & Spencer, TK Maxx, Next, Pets at Home, Wren, Costa, Carphone Warehouse and Pound World, Dunelm Mill and Home Bargains. Project values typically between £500k – £2m. Coda has formed good working relationships with many out of town retailers which can prove beneficial during agreement for lease negotiations and can simplify the process of agreeing scope of landlord’s works.
In addition Coda can provide all aspects of building surveying services including contract administration, dilapidations acting on behalf of landlord or tenant, schedules of condition, licence for alteration, pre-acquisition and pre-lease building surveys, planned preventative maintenance, building pathology, snagging inspections and reinstatement cost assessments.
